Two people were charged Thursday after an assault on the Okanese First Nation.
By the time RCMP got to the area near Fort Qu'Appelle early Monday morning, the man and young male had taken off, but were founds a few hours later.
The boy cannot be named due to the Young Offenders Act, but he has been charged with attempted murder and three firearms related offences. He has already pleaded not guilty, and his trial begin in November in Fort Qu'Appelle Court.

Maple Creek Amber Alert suspects enter guilty pleas
Three people charged after an Amber Alert was issued following an incident in Maple Creek have since pleaded guilty and will be sentenced this summer.
One 16-year-old boy was charged with breaking into a home and abduction in the January incident which involved a 14-year-old girl. A 38-year-old woman was charged with obstruction of a peace officer. They will be sentenced on Aug. 8.
Another 16-year old boy also pleaded guilty and will be sentenced in July.
The Amber Alert for this incident was the fourth in the province’s history.
Criminal charges dropped against accused in fatal crash
Criminal code charges have been dropped against a Saskatoon man involved in a fatal crash at the intersection of Attridge Drive and Central Avenue.
Shelton Bowes, 21, was initially charged with criminal negligence causing death and dangerous driving causing death.
The story made headlines after Bowes hit a car that was turning left from Attridge Drive onto Central Avenue on Mar. 6, 2011.
A 35-year-old woman who was in the backseat was killed and two other women in the car were injured.
Trial for man accused of stabbing retired RCMP
The attempted murder of a retired RCMP officer is being detailed in the trial for Ryan Dalton Kelly Bear in Saskatoon.
Bear is accused of stabbing Robert Laidlaw on the side of the road near Outlook last May
Tuesday in the courtroom, the first witness told his version of the events that happened. The witness said he saw Bear stab Laidlaw four to five times.
On the stand, the witness described seeing thrusting motions from the back and then seeing a knife when Bear turned around. The witness had driven Bear out to fix a flat tire.
Attempted murder trial begins for man accused in stabbing near Outlook
A retired RCMP officer told a Saskatoon courtroom he
suspected something suspicious just before he was stabbed multiple times on the
side of a road near Outlook last May.
Robert Laidlaw took the stand
in Saskatoon's Court of Queen's Bench Tuesday, where Ryan Dalton Kelly Bear is
on trial for attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a
weapon.
The 23-year-old is accused of stabbing Laidlaw on May 23,
2012 after the two men encountered each other near the Rudy Landing development
north of Outlook.
Man sentenced to 11 years for Gruending manslaughter
A Saskatoon man has
been sentenced to 11 years in prison after recently pleading guilty to
manslaughter in the 2010 stabbing death of Michael Gruending.
He was 17
years old at the time, but Lance Cote was sentenced as an adult at Saskatoon's
Court of Queen's Bench Wednesday.
Regina attempted murder suspect found
After sending out a province-wide notice, the Regina police have found their suspect in an attempted murder case.
Brent Stacee Creely, 21, has been charged with attempted murder after an 18-year-old man was severely beaten with a baseball bat at a party in North Central Regina on Saturday.
The victim was later taken to hospital in serious condition.
RCMP found Creely in Fort Qu’Appelle where he was arrested.

A Saskatoon-area man pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated
assault during closing arguments of his attempted murder trial at Saskatoon's
Court of Queen's Bench.
But the Crown is still trying to prove that
Ryan Dalton Kelly Bear, 23, intended to kill retired RCMP officer Robert Laidlaw
after getting a flat tire just north of Outlook.
Gang affiliation, mental illness revealed during sentencing arguments for Mooswa brother
One of two Saskatoon brothers convicted of robbery, assault causing bodily harm and unlawful confinement will have to wait until August for his prison sentence.
Sentencing arguments were heard Friday in Saskatoon's Court of Queen's Bench for Jayvin Mooswa, who was found guilty of those charges in May. His brother Jeremy faces the same convictions, but his sentencing arguments were adjourned to Aug. 16.
Alleged impaired driver threatens Regina officers with baton
A Regina man is facing a number of charges after run ins with both on-duty or off-duty police officers on Saturday.
It was around 5:39 p.m. that two off-duty police officers spotted a vehicle being driven erratically. Although the pair called police headquarters about it, they continued to follow the vehicle until it was parked on the 2100 block of Angus Street.
Regina man charged in vehicle/pedestrian collision
A Regina man is facing charges after allegedly feeling from the scene of a vehicle/pedestrian collision on June 25.
A 53-year-old man was hit by a vehicle on the 200 block of Smith Street, but the vehicle had left the scene. The man was treated in hospital. The suspect vehicle could not be found.
Boy gets conditional discharge for daycare threats
A 12-year-old boy has
been given a one-year conditional discharge for threatening to blow up a
Saskatoon daycare.
The youth, whose name is protected under the
Youth Criminal Justice Act, will have to abide by certain conditions for the
next year.
The boy sent threatening texts to someone he knew at a daycare
in the 3200 block of 33rd Street West on April 5.
He was sentenced on two
counts of sending false messages via telephone with intent to injure or alarm,
and one count of mischief over $5,000.
Teen boy sentenced for role in Amber Alert abduction
One of the teenage boys who abducted a pregnant girl in Saskatchewan that triggered an Amber Alert has been sentenced.
Back in January, a pregnant, 14-year-old girl was taken from her home in Maple Creek and an Amber Alert was sounded.
Two 16-year-old boys were involved - the girl's boyfriend and the boy who has just been sentenced.
The second teenage boy received three months deferred custody, which involves community supervision, and nine months probation.
Two men charged with murder after man found dead in truck
Two men from Young have been charged with first-degree murder after a man was found dead in a broken down vehicle in Saskatoon Thursday night.
The men, aged 18 and 19, are charged in the death of 25-year-old Alexander (A.J.) Holdner.
Holdner’s body was found by police just before midnight Thursday by Saskatoon police officers during a routine patrol stop. A pickup truck was broken down in the northbound lane of Circle Drive just south of 11th Street West. The 1998 black Ford extended cab did not have its rear driver’s side wheel.
Two men from Young, Sask. charged with first-degree murder
Two men will stay in remand until the end of the month after facing first-degree murder charges in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday afternoon.
Kyle Scott, 19, and Robert McCamon, 18, of Young, Sask., are accused of killing Alexander (A.J.) Holdner.
Holdner's body was found just before midnight Thursday by Saskatoon police officers during a routine patrol stop.
Alvin Buckwold, 31, charged with second-degree murder
The son of a prominent Saskatoon lawyer has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his father.
Alvin Buckwold, 31, is charged after his father Ian Buckwold was found dead in Emma Lake over the weekend.
Alvin made his first court appearance Tuesday morning in Prince Albert Provincial Court, where he was remanded into custody until next Tuesday.

Three years after a drunken argument between roommates escalated
into an explosive attack, a Saskatoon man received a 10-year sentence for the
manslaughter of Bert Haverkort.
Jake Ottertail, 35, will spend seven
years in prison because of credit for three years spent in remand. He was
originally charged with second degree murder but was convicted of manslaughter
in June.
When delivering her decision Tuesday in Saskatoon's Court of
Queen's Bench, Justice Mona Dovell called it a "senseless and brutal crime that
has affected many people."
Man sentenced for shooting teen in arm
A Saskatoon man will spend just under four years in prison for shooting a 15-year-old boy in the arm.
Cullen Sol Sullivan Johnson, 18, pleaded guilty in Saskatoon Provincial Court to four gun-related charges, including intentionally discharging a prohibited firearm while being reckless as to the life or safety of another person.
But the defense argued Johnson didn't intend to shoot anybody when he fired the sawed-off shotgun near the Meadowgreen Confectionary in the 500 block of Avenue W South on Apr. 23.
Teenage murderer released from jail a year early
He shot two complete strangers, killing one of them, but a Regina man is now being released from jail early.
The man was sentenced to four years for several charges, including second degree murder and use of a firearm in the course of a robbery. But he's being released into open custody after serving only three years.
He was 16 years old at the time of the murder so he can't be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Kopichanski pleads guilty, sentenced for fatal collision
Craig Curtis Kopichanski has been sentenced to five years in prison for causing a January car collisions that killed expectant mother Chrystal Rivet on Friday morning.
He pleaded guilty to four charges stemming from the crash, including impaired driving causing death and evading police causing death.
Kopichanski, 22, will serve another four years and seven months in prison after credit for time spent in remand is factored in.
He faced 10 charges in total, but six were forgiven by the Crown in a Prince Albert Provincial Courtroom.
